Monthly payments

Hi I am a student and wasn’t really aware of the yearly payments and wanted to suggest making payments monthly, and if they already are why was I charged annually. I am so sorry I am going though a hard time with money and the last thing I need it’s for large amounts of money to leave my account like that.
